Student and young carer, Dan Stevens, 18, has won an award for 'Computing Student of the Year' in a ceremony at Worcester County Cricket Club.

YSS Worcestershire Young Carers' Key Worker, David King was delighted to attend the event on 6th June and support Dan, who is a student at Heart of Worcestershire College.

David said: "It was a lovely event and I was really pleased to be a part of it and give Dan our support.  Dan works really hard at the college and it is great that he won the award and that he has started engaging with YSS Worcestershire Young Carers again; his confidence has grown so much in the time that we've known him."

Worcestershire Young Carers provides assessment, signposting, one to one support and monthly youth clubs and activities for young people aged between seven and 17 with a caring role at home.
