Key workers at YSS are undertaking training in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) practices, which will lead to a Diploma in NLP. The course, held in Worcester, is part of a four day training event, which will then be followed up in the New Year with three NLP Re-connect days, which will be an opportunity for staff to revisit elements of the NLP training, keep skills alive and relevant, and review areas of good practice and development.

The diploma will cover a broad range of NLP principles, which will equip staff with the skills to understand their own thoughts, behaviour, and actions, and those of the individuals they work with across YSS's services. It will enable staff to work more effectively with their clients, build a deeper understanding of their practices and  ultimately, help improve outcomes. Sixteen YSS staff are taking part in the NLP training.

YSS enables people who face significant life challenges to feel safe, have the opportunity to thrive and to realise their potential. We do this by delivering a wide range of community based support services for adults, young people and families throughout West Mercia (Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Telford & Wrekin).
