YSS was delighted to welcome Worcestershire High Sheriff, Edward WP Holloway for a meeting about how the charity is supporting adults, young people and families in Worcestershire.

The High Sheriff and his wife Diana, met with staff and service users, to get an update on the charity’s work in the county.

David Andrewartha, YSS Operations Director, said: “We were thrilled to welcome the High Sheriff, and had some very productive discussions with him and Diana, about our work. They were really encouraged to hear about the impact we are having in Worcestershire, and were particularly interested in hearing from some of our service users about how they are overcoming some major life challenges with support from YSS."

YSS’ services in Worcestershire include: Appropriate Adult, which provides adult volunteers to represent young people in custody; ESS+ and Meet and Mentor, which supports individuals to help break the cycle of reoffending; Remember Veterans, which works with military veterans to access sustainable, independent living whilst reducing the likelihood of offending/re-offending; Worcestershire Young Carers; South Worcestershire Parenting and Community Development; and #MORSE, which works with individuals to reduce dangerous driving and make our roads safer.
