Christmas Hamper Campaign: Help Support Local People This Christmas | YSS

At YSS, we understand that Christmas can be a difficult time for many, just as it can be a joyful time for others. That’s why we are proud to announce our 2026 Christmas Hamper Campaign, giving our generous donors an opportunity to make a direct difference to the lives of young carers, families facing hardship and others supported by YSS.

Our campaign launches at The Malvern Show on 25th-27th September and will be featured across our social media throughout October. If you’d like to make a difference to the lives of the people we support this Christmas, donate to our Christmas Hamper Campaign today.

Our Christmas Hamper Campaign allows you to directly make a difference, with your donations helping us to create personalised support packages that are tailored to people who may be facing additional challenges this Christmas.

Each hamper will be personalised, with your Christmas charity donations enabling us to create packages suited to the individual needs of each recipient. We ensure all items are thoughtfully chosen and of good quality, with hampers designed for local children, families and adults across the Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire and Telford and Wrekin areas.

Why are we asking for monetary donations instead of requesting hampers made by our donors? By accepting financial donations, we’re able to create specific, personalised hampers that meet the individual needs of the people we support. 

With monetary support, we have the flexibility to choose specific, beneficial items, buy in bulk to make available funds go as far as possible and ensure each recipient of our hampers feels considered and individually supported by our donors and team.

Christmas can be particularly difficult for many of the people we support. Isolation, financial pressures, caring responsibilities and other challenging circumstances can make the festive period more stressful than joyful. Our Christmas hampers are one way we can offer some practical support and help people feel valued and included during the festive season.

Each hamper will help bring some Christmas cheer to local people and families receiving support from YSS, including the wide range of people who access our different services, including Worcestershire Young Carers and Every Step Together.

Each donation we receive contributes to our campaign, whether you can give £5 or £50. You can choose the difference you make, from a small donation to provide toiletries to providing the support for multiple Christmas hampers for charity. 

Your donation could help provide:

• £5: Festive treats, toiletries or a small toy.
• £10: A quality toy, festive food or an essential wellbeing pack
• £20: A Christmas hamper for an individual
• £35: A festive family hamper
• £50: Support for multiple people

However much you can give, everything helps. We welcome donations of all sizes to help create Christmas hampers for the people we support.
