Volunteers and the ethos and values that volunteering brings to YSS are very important to us. We place great value in the experience, ideas, and diversity they bring to our work and we consider our volunteers a very important part of our service provision.
Volunteers and the ethos and values that volunteering brings to YSS are very important to us. We aim to provide the highest standards of training and support to our volunteers. We place great value in the experience, ideas, and diversity they bring to our work.
Currently, YSS has around 80 Volunteers involved in a range of different roles within the organisation. We have an enthusiastic team of Volunteer Coordinators based in Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and Shropshire, who are responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting our Volunteers across the regions.
We have various volunteering opportunities available within the local areas we cover. Some of our opportunities are in person while others can be completed virtually.

On Hold Volunteering Roles
We had to put a couple of our volunteering opportunities on hold for the time being due to some internal changes. If you are interested in any of the following opportunities, watch this space as we will start recruiting for them again in September.
There are many reasons and benefits to becoming a Volunteer at YSS.
As well as providing a valuable service to those we support and making a difference in the local communities, volunteering can open doors to employment. It helps to build skills and experience, gaining confidence through understanding and supporting others, whilst meeting and sharing ideas with likeminded and motivated people. At YSS, we provide bespoke support and training to all our Volunteers.
